Cupcakes

Oh, whimsy!
I never understood why people spent time crocheting food. But them I'm not really a lover of decorations and knick-knacks and ornamentals of any kind, much less objects that tease you with their inedibility.  Then I spotted some photos of crocheted cupcakes and was simultaneously struck by two conflicting thoughts: "Why would you make those?" and "I can make them!" So freeform cupcakes (perhaps I should write up the pattern?) for donation to our Christmas bazaar - theoretically they could be used as pin cushions but I think in practice the point of their existence is just ... for kicks and laughs. They're also great fun to make.

And why not, eh?

I too have been knitting and crocheting cupcakes. They are great bazaar sellers as they take next to no time to make and are usually pocket money prices. My neice was 12 last week, and I always give her money - I put the money in a card and popped it in a gift bag decorated with cupcakes and slipped a crocheted cupcake in there too. She loved it!

VERY cute. I have made similar ones and given them as pin cushions to friends. They ARE kind of fun to make, aren't they?

Yes, please, write up the pattern. They are adorable! And I never knit or crochet food, either. But these are so cute.

I think knitted or crocheted cupcakes are great. Especially for small girls who like to have pretend tea parties, then they're really popular

I would love to see the pattern for these. I've looked at a lot of cupcakes online and these are the absolute cutest I've ever seen. :) Great job.
