I Am Colour Starved

I like this pattern, I really do. It lets me do all kinds of weird and wonderful things with colours. This is the tester-blanket for a pattern I'll write up as soon as possible. I started off in another colour subset, but I need a model blanket for the pattern picture. So I decided to use ALL my colours (and we all know that I don't shy away from colour. Nom, nom.) I have enough blankets to cover almost every shabby chair and sofa in the Gingerbread House (= no mean feat, let me tell you) so this one is going to be a present ... maybe for my youngest niece, a toddler who seems to enjoy dancing around in little more than her mother's half-finished crochet blankets.

  2. I love that!! Very 'modern' looking and geometric, if that makes sense - so different from the usual kind of flowery crochet blankets. Looking forwards to the pattern!

  3. Gorgeous!! I love the bright colors with the black border.

I've recently been using a few bright colors of my own (which is not the most usual of circumstances for me :P) I made up a set of really cute flower-shaped dishcloths in bright bright blue, sunny yellow, and pure white. I'm giving away the set on my blog if you're interested. :)

  4. The dark connecting threads really make the jewel tones pop. This is one of my favorite color combinations. It's coming out quite nice, Gingerbread Lady!

The black detailing looks like the lead work of a stunning piece of modern stained glass.
